David’s entrepreneurial journey began in East Austin, where he learned the ins and outs of business from his father at the Aristocrat Lounge, a staple of the old-school party scene. This early exposure not only taught him business acumen but also fostered a lifelong love for music—especially the blues. Building on these experiences, David managed Catfish Station on Austin’s famous 6th Street in the 90s, where his dedication to quality and consistency took root. In 1998, he launched the original Mr. Catfish & More on Springdale Road, with subsequent locations in North Austin and Elgin. Today, the flagship restaurant is located at 1144 Airport Boulevard, Suite 220, in the Eastland Plaza Shopping Center.
